It’s always a pleasure working in such a beautiful area of Romsey and working for the owner of this beautiful home.
The existing Purbeck stone wall was beyond repair and so the decision was made to take it down and start again from the ground up.
The existing wall was taken down by hand, stone by stone. The stone was then cleaned and stored in readiness to start the reconstruction.
We excavated new foundations and trench filled with concrete to ensure the longevity of the newly built wall as well as constructing a concrete block sub-straight along with drainage to safely carry the water away, again ensuring longevity of the new stone wall.
The reclaimed stone was hand selected and laid with a racked out mortar joint to match the existing and surrounding walls.
